Citizen Hound and SuperDog City have teamed up to offer a 20-hr Classroom, or 40-hr Hands On Dog Walker Certification Course endorsed by San Francisco's Animal Care and Control to satisfy the city and the GGNRA's commercial dog walking legislation requirements.

Our course was developed by David Levin and Corey Vitale, owners of two of the most successful and largest walking companies in the Bay Area.

40 Hour Hands On Field Course: $500

Besides learning everything taught in the 20 hour classroom version, you'll also be taken out to work in the fields with groups of dogs off-leash. Each of the topics presented in the written curriculum will be touched upon again and illustrated in the real world. You'll get the chance to hone your new skills with groups of dogs before you have to start working with them on your own.

You'll gain invaluable insight into the day to day operations of successful dog walking companies. You'll meet people in the industry. You'll get to hear their stories, and learn from seeing, not just reading, what it's really like.

This course is taught through lecture, video analysis, demos, hands-on experience, ride-alongs, and field work in the 40-hr program.

Both courses are designed to teach great pack management techniques both for on leash and off leash dog walkers, and both for teaching dogs singularly or in a group setting. You'll not only come away understanding dogs better in general, but also dog health, how to properly raise dogs, and how to train them. You'll also learn how to setup your business, marketing tips, how to come into compliance with local laws and ordinances, and how to be effective with clients.

You will walk away feeling confident and knowledgeable. The connections you'll make in the industry will always be able to help you along your way. This is a mentorship program, so we'll be there for you after you graduate in any way we can.
